Too much of a pain in the butt

Ok, well I tried to install the StyleCatcher plugin, and all I gotta say is the heck with that. The installation instructions on it sucked and pretty much after a point your just doing a whole trial and error thing, I might go back to trying to using StyleCatcher later but, that's iffy. I think I am just gonna have to create my own templates which I guess means I am gonna have to learn some CSS, I knew I was gonna have to know it sometime, so I guess that time is now. Well at the very least I got the site updated with Moveable Type. It's not as artistic as the old site but, I figure, give it awhile and maybe as time goes on that'll change. Well lunch hour so hasta.

Hey, I just found your blog through your host. I need a new web host and one of my readers (who I don't know personally) works for your host. I asked them if they were familiar with Movable Type and they said yeah, this guy's using it on our servers. So I came and looked.

I've been using MT for about 2.5 years and I've learned my way around a little. More so, I've found some helpful resources and folks out there. I've played with the CSS and tried StyleCatcher too and some other plugins too. I can say that many times the instructions leave a lot to be desired. I think they assume too much a lot of times.

Any way, here are a few resources for you. Some f them have links to dozens more.

Movable Type Forums - Ask a question and get an answer (usually).
Planet Movable Type - A syndication of many MT blogs and sites
MT Lookup - Kinda like a search engine for MT blogs and sites, including the MT online help.
Movable Type Style Generator - Designed by the guy who runs Planet Moveable Type, it allows you to dynamically create your own look. I found that I wanted to re-write the CSS that it made to better match how MT's CSS file was laid out, but it's pretty cool. He's also got a cool random style here.

If you have a question for me, please email me and I;ll see what I can do. Also, any insight on your host would be appreciated too. :-)

Nick:

Thanks, I'll send you an email with my impressions on EZOSHosting. The short answer is, their support is good.
